The Cedar Lake Park Board voted unanimously to elect Pam Howard as its vice president, filling the seat left by the board member identified as Mr. Justice. Chair opened the floor for nominations and, after a second, Pam Howard was elected by a 4–0 roll-call vote.
Board members said the short, procedural election followed an amended agenda the chair introduced at the start of the meeting. The board approved the agenda amendment to include the vice-president vote before taking the roll call that confirmed Howard’s election.
The motion to elect Howard carried on roll call with four affirmative votes and no recorded opposition; the board did not discuss alternate nominees. The board then continued with the rest of its agenda, including personnel and capital items.
