The board approved a $200 donation to Illinois Valley Animal Rescue in recognition of the group's help with stray animals and a $520 donation to Project Success to cover 13 Easter meals for approximately 52 local families. Two other donation requests, from the University of Illinois 4‑H Youth Development and SVLL Girls Softball, received no action.
Trustees agreed to waive the $50 rental fee for the Ladd Library’s Lego event on May 16, 2026, provided Library staff clean the Community Center after the event. Separately, the council authorized a committee to spend up to $1,000 to purchase reusable patriotic holiday lighting and decorations for the village’s America 250th Anniversary observances. Clerk Rhonda Bezely provided updates on event-spending spreadsheets, a one-panel trial light installation, and the village’s plan to begin a Crypt Keeper cemetery-software trial.
