Ladd approves $5,000 park donation, special-event liquor license and permits summer truck show

Trustees approved a $5,000 donation to Ladd Sports for Kennedy Park improvements, granted a special-event liquor license for a Aug. 29 trivia fundraiser, and passed Resolution 1211 permitting a Convoy Against Cancer Big Truck Show set for July 18, 2026.
At the March 10 meeting the board approved a $5,000 donation to Ladd Sports to support improvements at Kennedy Park baseball fields after receiving a detailed request from volunteer Steve Bosi. Trustees thanked Bosi for his work and approved the contribution unanimously.
The board also approved a special-event liquor license for the Greg Colmone Scholarship Fund trivia night scheduled for Aug. 29, 2026, with a rain-location contingency to the Ladd Community Center, and passed Resolution 1211 permitting the Convoy Against Cancer Big Truck Show in Ladd on July 18, 2026. The village additionally approved purchasing a 1/4-page ad in the Bureau County Tourism Guide for $175 to promote the year's events.
