The Minidoka County Joint School District board approved its consent agenda and separately approved an emergency hire for an ESL teacher at Minico High School. "A motion to approve the emergency hire (Sylvia Hendricks) as the ESL teacher at Minico High School was made by Trustee Claridge, seconded by Vice Chair Andersen. Motion carried," the minutes state.
The meeting packet included a detailed personnel list of certified and classified transfers and new hires (guest teachers, paraeducators, bus drivers), athletics hires and resignations, and retirements (including two transportation retirees). The packet also reported suspension counts for Oct. 1–20: 12 out-of-school suspensions and 2 in-school suspensions. Board action on the consent items was by unanimous consent, and individual personnel recommendations remain contingent on receipt of required state paperwork, per the packet note.
