Council discussed a series of internal funds — the Street & Path Fund, Capital Improvement Fund, Workforce Housing Fund and Land Acquisition Fund — with City Administrator Susan Robertson and City Treasurer Angela Walls answering questions about balances, timing and proposed uses. Street Superintendent Bill Whitesell reviewed street and path maintenance priorities during the Street & Path Fund discussion.
After reviewing the funds, the council agreed to hold an additional budget workshop at 10:00 a.m. on July 7, 2015 and to hold a meeting at 2:00 p.m. on July 9, 2015 to approve the Tentative Budget. Council members also raised and discussed the city’s conflict of interest policy for council members during this portion of the meeting.
Council Member Michelle Griffith moved to adjourn at the close of the meeting; Council Member Jane Conard seconded the motion and the roll-call vote was unanimous. Mayor Dewayne Briscoe declared the meeting adjourned at 5:39 p.m.
