The West Bonner County School District Board of Trustees on March 19 approved a revised levy ballot resolution that moves $250,000 out of a line labeled "Funding for Teacher and Support Staff Jobs" into a newly created "Contingency Reserve." The motion to accept the adjustment passed unanimously (5-0). "[Remove] $250,000 from 'Funding for Teacher and Support Staff Jobs' and place it in a new line item labeled 'Contingency Reserve'," the motion recorded in the minutes states.
Trustee Kathy Nash read a statement urging the district to address past fiscal issues to increase public confidence in the levy proposal; several trustees expressed support for the district's recent fiscal improvements. Trustee Delbert Pound told the board that "the levy ballot ask is in truth a small amount" and urged continued progress. The board also voted to hold a special meeting at 5:00 PM on March 24, 2025 in the district office to revisit the line item and any remaining questions.
