MacKED SEDS session seen as a rich source for committee communications

Staff told the committee that MacKED's Strategic Economic Development Strategy (SEDS) series includes several sessions and that the first session featured an economist's snapshot of Gorge-sector trends. The staff member said the session was well attended and that the PowerPoint and any recording would be useful raw material for communications.
"I went to the one a couple weeks ago, and there were at least 60 people there from The Gorge representing different interests and economic interests and we had a fantastic PowerPoint presentation from an economist," the staff member said. Committee members agreed those materials could be distilled into short public items and shared via the communications committee.
The committee asked staff to locate available materials from the SEDS sessions and to propose short summaries the committee could use in a newsletter and an annual report.
