The Chicago Heights City Council approved Omnibus Resolution #2026-73 awarding residential demolition contracts under the Strong Communities Program. Chief of Staff Karen Zerante recommended awarding East Side Phase 1 to KLF Enterprises for $68,000; East Side Phase 2 to KLF Enterprises for $100,500; West Side Phase 1 to ADM Demolition for $96,030; and West Side Phase 2 to ADM Demolition for $56,000. Zerante said grant funds already received would go toward the roughly $320,000 project cost.
The council carried the omnibus resolution by voice vote with the recorded ayes in the July 15 minutes. Zerante characterized the awards as the recommendation of the city engineer; the contracts will be administered through the Community Development or Public Works process as applicable and subject to standard contracting requirements.
