Representatives Sally McDonald and Karen Hardy told the Council that the recent pickleball tournament "went very well" and that they would be donating $6,000 to the Village to be used for repairing the pickleball courts in spring (no check was presented at the meeting).
The organizers asked to schedule the next tournament the weekend before Labor Day because the following weekend conflicts with a Jewish holiday. President Tim McCarthy said he would not vote on the tournament date at this meeting because he wanted all five Council members present before taking action.
The donation pledge was recorded in the meeting minutes; the Council did not take formal action to accept funds or allocate them at this session.
