President Tim McCarthy reported Sept. 5 that Stop 43 has been closed again following repeated vandalism to the safety rails; the site will remain closed until safety concerns are addressed and utility access is restored.
Council also noted EGLE was preparing a second notice related to a current structure between Stop 41.5 and 42. Many confiscations of items left on the beach have resulted in fines, and the Council said non‑residents—particularly from Michiana Shores—are often responsible for violations.
