At the Dec. 2 meeting, County Coordinator Kelly Thongvivong advised the board that a draft AI policy had been posted for a 30-day comment period and that no comments were received. The board adopted the AI Policy as presented by unanimous vote.
The board also set holiday hours for county offices — closing at 12:00 p.m. on Dec. 24, 2025, and at 3:00 p.m. on Dec. 31, 2025 — and approved personnel actions including moving Matt Dane, Heavy Equipment Operator, to permanent full-time status effective Dec. 3, 2025. By roll-call votes, the board adopted salary resolutions setting the 2026 pay for the Sheriff at $140,500, the County Attorney at $175,275, the Auditor/Treasurer at $107,900 and the Recorder at $93,450; the resolutions are filed in the County Coordinator's office.
The actions bundle administrative policy, holiday scheduling and compensation decisions that affect county operations into the 2026 budget and personnel framework.
