County approves bridge replacement grant agreements, schedules township meeting on crossings

Interim County Engineer Steve Schnieder told the board that state bridge bonding was awarded to replace bridges on County Roads 47 and 99 and that the county needed to approve grant agreement terms. The board unanimously approved Resolution 26-01-06B to accept the Local Bridge Replacement Program Grant Agreement (SAPs No. 017-598-012 and 017-598-013).
The minutes record Schnieder asking the board to set up a meeting with Lakeside and Mountain Lake township officials to discuss improvement of railroad crossings on 500th Avenue and 550th Avenue, along with the county highway crossings. The County Coordinator was asked to contact township officials regarding possible meeting dates of Feb. 3 or Feb. 17 to discuss crossings and related improvements.
