Auditor/Treasurer Carolyn Rempel told the board the county is using a payroll system that dates back to 1984 and is a green-screen application and that HR does not have a dedicated HR software. After researching three HR/payroll systems, Rempel recommended Paycom.
The board unanimously approved adopting Paycom for HR/payroll, instructed the county to continue using RtVision for highway timecards, and directed payroll processing to be centralized in the Auditor/Treasurer’s office. Rempel also presented the FY2025 Audit Engagement Letter; the board unanimously approved signing the engagement letter with the Office of the State Auditor.
Minutes do not include implementation dates or projected costs for Paycom; county staff will follow up on rollout timing and any budgetary implications.
