Dan Lang, a Milford resident, asked the Town Board during the open floor at the March 18 meeting to pursue lowering the speed limit on County Highway 46. "The limit is currently 55, which he feels is too high for the area and makes it difficult for him to get out of his driveway," the minutes record. The board said the request will be routed to the county and then to the state for a determination on whether a reduction is warranted.
Council Member Kristen Velasco also noted a resident, Russ Langford, is exploring grant opportunities for youth athletic fields and that she will provide contact information for local grant-writing assistance. These open-floor items were recorded as public comments and will proceed through the established county and state review processes when applicable.
