Milford court clerk accepts Delhi job; will reduce hours and train replacement

Supervisor Casey Eckler reported that Milford Court Clerk Bayla Richards has accepted a full-time position in Delhi beginning July 17, 2025 and has asked to reduce her Milford court hours from 20 to 10 per week. The board indicated there was no reason to deny Richards’s request and said it hopes to hire a second person to fill the remaining 10 hours per week.
Richards has offered to train the new hire and will continue her janitorial duties in the interim. Council Member Kristen Velasco said she will post the job description on the Town website. The minutes note the court previously had two clerks and the board did not object to returning to that arrangement while ensuring training and continuity.
No formal vote on a hire appears in the minutes; the record indicates the board’s acceptance of the staffing change and direction to advertise the vacancy.
