County rep reports hazmat plan progress, broadband funds and health trends

County Representative Meg Kennedy briefed the Milford Town Board that the county's hazmat mitigation plan remains in progress and that she recently attended a Cherry Valley School meeting on broadband availability.
"There are funds available to connect broadband for residents," Kennedy said, and she told the board the county Department of Health is reporting Lyme disease as the most-reported illness followed by COVID-19. The board received the update with no formal action required.
Kennedy's report covered emergency planning, connectivity efforts for residents and a health snapshot; no vote or funding request to the town was made during the meeting.
