Stakeholders press MLAC on access-to-care recommendations; committee to revisit proposals

Beth Bunt of Evergreen Family Medicine thanked the committee for the Access‑to‑Care subcommittee's work and asked how much of provider testimony the committee would carry forward into decision-making. Bunt asked, "After hearing testimony from providers and the barriers they have, how much will MLAC take forward in the decisions they are making?" She also asked whether MLAC would prepare another letter to account for providers.
Emily Cronan, representing the nursing perspective, said the subcommittee's initial charge widened into a larger conversation and that recommendations will be brought back to MLAC. Cronan said there is an opportunity to continue engaging stakeholders and to connect MLAC work to partners who can help identify workable solutions before proceeding to legislative concepts.
