Committee members reviewed progress on the action plan and identified follow-up items. Staff liaison Steve Dinkoski told the group a compliance person started June 1 and will assist with creating an inventory of businesses. Outreach to TSMC has not yet received a response; Jon Parsons reported he has been tracking communications and members suggested John Lee (North Gateway Board/TSMC) might be a contact.
Members discussed promotional strategies including improved outdoor signage, an Anthem "Black Friday" promotion, banners for new businesses at community events such as the July 4 celebration and Touch a Truck, and the potential to allow paid advertising on community center TV. The committee also discussed seeking a sponsor for Market in the Park and noted an estimate of "about $15,000 for 20 markets." One operational note recorded in the minutes: a comment to remove negative reviews ("Negative reviews ' delete them").
