At its July 6 meeting the Chula Board of Aldermen approved multiple contractor bids covering tree removal, stump grinding, electrical work and concrete projects. Council discussed four tree-related bids (including offers of $12,500; $6,500; $6,235 plus $1,600 for stump grinding; and $2,000 for grinding only) before moving to accept the Eads Lawn Care proposal from Jamesport; the motion passed 4-0.
The board also reviewed electrical bids (one at $3,200 and a lower proposal from Vadnais Electrical at $2,076) and approved the lower electrical bid. A concrete bid from Grand River Concrete for $3,850 was approved as well. Council members recorded motions and unanimous votes on those items; no contract start dates or completion schedules were recorded in the meeting minutes provided.
