Chula approves $1.50 hourly raise for maintenance worker after review

Mayor Pro Tem Dan Murphy and council members discussed Oertwig’s tenure (he began working for the city in 2014 or 2015 and has lived in Chula since 2010) and recommended the raise during the meeting.
Oertwig described his current situation and requests during the review, saying, "He would like a pay raise, pay stub, and a skid steer to help with maintenance duties." The council recorded the motion to approve Dan’s recommendation; Alderman Geremy Bru moved to approve the raise, Alderman Andy Habert seconded and the measure passed unanimously, 4-0. The council did not record any timeline for delivery of a skid steer or issuance of pay stubs during the meeting.
