Enrollment steady, iReady data encouraging; two elementary schools nearing need for assistants

Kelly Zoellner, Director of Curriculum and Instruction, presented district enrollment numbers and fall iReady assessment results during the Sept. 17 board meeting.
Zoellner reported that "the numbers remain strong across all elementary schools with Eisenhower and South on the verge of requiring assistants," indicating rising staffing needs at those sites. She said the district's fall iReady results are encouraging and noted this is the third year the district has used the program; staff highlighted measurable progress but did not present school-by-school score totals in open session.
Board members did not vote on instructional programming at the meeting but acknowledged the enrollment and assessment reports and directed staff to continue monitoring and bring staffing recommendations if positions (assistants) are required at Eisenhower or South.
