Schuyler County returns draft camper and tiny-house local laws with recommendation

Local Law #1 (Campers as Temporary Residences) and Local Law #2 (Tiny Houses) were returned from the Schuyler County Planning Commission with a Notice of Recommendation; the town will forward the recommendation to the Planning Board and Attorney Halpin for follow-up.
Supervisor David Scott reported that Local Law #1 (Campers as Temporary Residences) and Local Law #2 (Tiny Houses) were returned from the Schuyler County Planning Commission with a Notice of Recommendation. He said the county recommendation will be passed to the Planning Board and to Attorney Halpin for review and any required revisions.
Also under unfinished business, Attorney Halpin sent a letter to property owner Clyde Auble about the new salt storage shed placement and the town's consideration of moving a fence to the boundary line. That change would require Mr. Auble to move his shed and would reduce the portion of his driveway that currently sits on Town property. Odessa Fire Department requested municipal presence at an informational meeting on May 21, 2025.
