Montour highway superintendent: park apron finished, chip sealing and equipment sales planned

Highway Superintendent Michael Croft told the board on May 14, 2025 that the concrete pad for a second dumpster in the park has been poured and the park is ready for opening day. He said sweeping is complete, roadside mowing will begin in early June, and the highway crew will haul stone for upcoming chip sealing work.
Croft reported that photos have been taken of a Volvo and a GMC and those vehicles will be listed on Auctions International. He also said the Ford F550 is experiencing electrical issues and parts have been ordered. Croft thanked volunteers who participated in Junk Day and noted that Soil & Water expects to start dirt work on the salt storage shed soon, which will require moving storage racks and pipe ahead of that work.
