The Monroe County Legislature on Dec. 17 approved two collective bargaining agreements. Resolution 439, approving an agreement with the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 158, passed unanimously, 26–0. Resolution 440, approving a contract involving the Monroe County Sheriff and the Sheriff Police Benevolent Association, passed 24–2; Legislators Delvecchio Hoffman and Hughes-Smith registered the negative votes.
The two agreements were introduced by a bipartisan group of sponsors and carried committee approvals noted on the agenda. The minutes record who voted in the negative for Res. 440; no amendments or further floor debate are recorded in the meeting minutes.
