President Steve Buss told trustees the village has 89 downtown street lights that are out of warranty; he said 25 of those have issues which could cost about $1,000 each to fix and that 12 older poles may require replacement. The board discussed bases and mount types for poles and decided to add repairs, replacements and parts as a Streets budget line for the coming fiscal year.
No formal procurement or specific contract was approved at the meeting; staff were directed to confirm types of pole bases and to budget accordingly.
