Croft said the Highway Department and staff completed workplace violence and harassment training and that he is seeking approval to construct a concrete apron outside the highway garage before the park opens in April.
Croft estimated the apron would cost about $6,000 for concrete and roughly $1,800 for rebar, placing the projected total below $10,000. The board adopted Resolution #11 (mover: Councilperson Brian Stamp; seconder: Councilperson Robert Simpson) authorizing the Bookkeeper, with final approval by Supervisor David Scott, to move up to $10,000 from the Highway Reserve Fund for the apron installation.
The resolution passed 4–0. The board directed the Bookkeeper to proceed with the transfer only after the Supervisor reviews the budget and reserve fund balances.
