Montour board moves $76,000 into reserves, including $16,000 to bridge reserve

On March 11 the Town of Montour Board approved Resolution #12 to transfer funds to several reserve accounts following review of the 2024 budget close-out. The transfers approved were: $50,000 from DA5130.2 (Machine Equipment) to DA9987 (Machine Reserve); $16,000 from DA5120.2 (Bridge Fund) to DA0004 (Bridge Reserve); and $10,000 from General Fund A Park Profit to A8587 (Park Reserve).
Clerk Gloria Stigers presented a worksheet explaining the intended transfers. The motion was offered by Councilperson Brian Stamp and seconded by Councilperson Robert Simpson; the resolution was adopted by a 4–0 vote. The transfers are intended to formalize reserve funding and provide local budgeting for equipment, bridge work and park needs.
