The Montour Town Board adopted Resolution #18 on April 8, 2025, declaring a 1993 GMC and a 2011 Volvo surplus and permitting Highway Superintendent Michael Croft to act on the Town's behalf to negotiate and accept counter-offers, provided he first consults with Supervisor David Scott. The resolution passed unanimously (Ayes 5, Noes 0).
Superintendent Michael Croft had told the board earlier that an appraiser would inspect the vehicles before they are listed for auction. The board recorded the decision as a procedural step required before public sale and confirmed that standard surplus-and-auction processes will be followed.
