City schedules Northtown 2040 charrettes; staff urges broad community input

Shu, the director of community development, summarized outreach milestones for the Northtown 2040 master-plan process and invited commissioners and the public to participate in community charrettes scheduled for September 2-3. He said staff and the consultant have conducted pop-up events and a steering-committee visioning workshop and will present initial findings at a later meeting.
"The website is northtown2040.com," Shu said, and staff confirmed the online survey and comment areas remain open for those who cannot attend in person. Shu said staff is also trying to arrange a community dinner during the charrette to increase participation and emphasized that input gathered at the charrette will feed into the master-plan vision and subsequent zoning-code considerations.
