Creve Coeur SD 76 to host Disc Golf demonstration, buys discs and baskets to support PE pilot

At the June 23 meeting Mr. Stasz asked the Board to allow a Disc Golf demonstration at Parkview School on Aug. 28, 2026, led by top-ranked players Gary Patton and Steve Weaver. He told the Board that Paul Layton, owner of Underdog Sports, agreed to sell 40 pre-owned discs and two portable baskets to the District for $428. The Board agreed to proceed with the plan to introduce Disc Golf into the physical education curriculum.
Superintendent Johnson and Mr. Stasz will meet with the incoming PE teacher, Mr. Martinez, before the school year begins to plan how to incorporate Disc Golf into lessons and activities. The demonstration is intended as both a student activity and a pilot to evaluate curricular fit and equipment needs.
