Recreation center kitchen completed pending vent cleaning; playground swings still to be replaced

Supervisor Anthony Fernandez updated the board on recreation center repairs and programs, saying the last kitchen appliance—the stainless‑steel table—arrived and old equipment was removed, but the air vent still needs cleaning before the kitchen is usable.
"The last piece of kitchen appliances came today; it is the stainless‑steel table that is replacing the cabinet on the side of the stove all the old appliances have been taken care of. The last thing they have to do to make the kitchen usable again is clean the air vent," Fernandez said. He added that the town will hold a workshop with the fire department to clean the kitchen.
Fernandez also reported the playground is open though swings still need replacement, and reminded attendees of a town fishing contest on June 20: "The fish the Town bought have already been delivered. And that the fish that the rod and gun club bought will be delivered Thursday June 11th at 10 am. The hours for fishing is 8:30-11am." The board discussed donating unused game tables and Sonya DeVuyst offered to contact the YMCA about pickup.
