Highway Superintendent Robert Ford reported ongoing operations and upcoming priorities, saying crews have been "picking up weekly garbage, cleaned up all the trash from Memorial Day Trash pickup, they cleaned everything off of Edwards property, they started putting in new driveway from the Highway Garage to the Recreation Center, mowing and vehicle maintenance." Ford identified Morehouse Lake Road as the worst road in town and said Leon's Road is a candidate for blacktop or chip seal now with paving later.
Board members agreed to convene the highway committee, including Ford and Committee member William Uebele, to set a plan that balances road projects with anticipated equipment upgrades. No specific paving contracts or schedules were approved at the meeting.
