Morehouse appoints new highway mechanic, promotes crew member

Supervisor Anthony Fernandez moved to appoint Joseph Rathbun as the town highway mechanic effective May 4, 2026; Brian Taylor seconded the motion and the board carried it. Fernandez also moved to promote David Uebele from MEO to HEO effective May 29, 2026; Mary Ann Mosher seconded and the motion carried.
The appointments and promotion were recorded without public objection. Supervisor Fernandez confirmed the mechanic position is full time when asked by resident Sheryl Fleming, and said the position had been posted on the town website and Facebook prior to hire.
The actions will change staff roles in the Highway Department effective on the dates recorded and the Town Clerk will update personnel records as needed.
