Supervisor Anthony Fernandez told the board the New York State Department of Labor conducted an annual inspection at the Recreation Center and that the required fire-alarm inspection was delayed and is being rescheduled. He said a previously scheduled fire alarm inspector cancelled and the town is arranging another inspection visit.
Fernandez also reported that footers for the Recreation Center porch roof have been installed and that he hopes the roof and playground swings will be completed before winter. The town is seeking a contractor to inspect the steeple at the Morehouse Historical Museum. No dates, contractor names or contract values were provided in the meeting transcript.
Town Clerk Stephanie Tichenor confirmed officers’ reports and related documents would be available at Town Hall beginning Oct. 15, 2025 for public review.
