Morehouse supervisor to expand monthly financial reports ahead of audit

Supervisor Anthony Fernandez told the Morehouse Town Board on Jan. 6 that he will add more detailed financial information to the monthly reports to support an upcoming audit. He said most items on the audit checklist are handled by Hamilton County and that the town will compile and distribute the remaining materials in its financial report.
Fernandez described the change as an effort to streamline the town's audit process and said he had discussed the checklist with the town treasurer. The board also authorized payment of invoices for the period Jan. 1–26, 2026; the minutes list the Highway Fund totaling $9,942.21 and the General Fund totaling $15,121.64. "I will be adding more information to the monthly financial reports," Fernandez said during the meeting.
The update comes as the board approved routine resolutions on investment policy, designated approved depository banks and continued participation in the NYCLASS municipal cooperation agreement. Fernandez said he will distribute audit-related documentation to board members as part of the regular financial packet so they can sign off if needed.
