Pedro Alaniz recommended several procurement actions at the Nov. 19 meeting. The board authorized advertising for bids to purchase and install a 6,000-gallon gasoline storage tank and to relocate a 10,000-gallon diesel tank. Trustees also authorized advertising for equipment purchases for the new Transportation Shop.
Separately, the board approved resolutions and interlocal agreements to join the Texas 20 Purchasing Cooperative (Education Service Center, Region 20) and the Central Texas Purchasing Alliance to expand procurement options. Trustees voted 6-0 on the motions to join each cooperative and to authorize the advertised bids.
The approvals allow administration to solicit competitive bids; specific award amounts or vendors were not discussed on the record.
