Karen Stevens presented a proposed student support team during the June 13, 2025 Curriculum Committee meeting, reviewing state diploma criteria and the referral process. The minutes list the proposed team as including counselors, deans, MTSS coordinators, the principal and assistant principal, the special education department chair and the athletic director. Identified students would be assigned a mentor who would meet regularly and implement an individualized support plan.
The committee recorded that the team is intended to enhance student success by increasing communication, organizing supports and avoiding redundancy in services. The minutes state that two intervention programs — pass/fail courses targeted at attendance and behavior support — will be proposed in September 2026. The record does not specify enrollment caps, budget amounts or which staff will lead the two programs.
