District reports enrollment at 1,462 (down 38 from projection); no staffing changes recommended

Superintendent Don Angelaccio presented the district's August enrollment and staffing update, reporting 1,462 students enrolled as of Aug. 7, compared with a projected 1,500 for 2025–26, a net difference of -38 and roughly 97% of the projection.
Angelaccio explained the Early Childhood program expects ongoing screening and additions as students turn 3 and that class-size guidelines, teacher certification and specialized programming affect final sectioning. He told the board there are no recommended staffing changes at this time and that official enrollment will be reported at the September board meeting. "There are no recommended changes to the staffing plan," Angelaccio said in the informational memo to trustees.
