Jason Udstuen, the district’s chief school business official, told the Oak Grove School District #68 board at its Committee of the Whole meeting on Sept. 16 that the district ended August with cash reserves of just under $9.5 million. He reported $382,000 in revenues for the month and $1.1 million in total expenditures, an increase of roughly $52,000 compared with the prior year.
Udstuen reviewed student-activity and imprest accounts and called attention to accounts payable and checks over $3,000, noting typical categories such as transportation, energy, special-education tuition, communication consulting and psychology services. He also reported $24,000 in American Express charges and about $3,000 in Costco Visa charges for routine supplies and extended-day and cafeteria items. The finance review concluded with the board receiving the Business Office calendar and the September accounts.
