Superintendent Bryan Zwemke opened his report by thanking the Oak Grove School Education Foundation (OGSEF) and the PTO for their support and attendance at both groups' first meetings of the year. He noted he visited seventh graders on a field trip to Camp Duncan and that the administrative team presented the first "Home Run Hero" award to student Logan Farris.
Dr. Zwemke also said he has formed a Home Team Advisory Committee composed of staff members who live in the district, have students at Oak Grove, and work at Oak Grove; that committee held its first meeting on Sept. 10. He invited board members to planned Board Showcases throughout the year so they could visit classrooms and interact with specific grades and programs.
