Moira authorizes CDBG application; Friends of the North Country to assist

The Town Board authorized participation in the New York State Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program and authorized Friends of the North Country, Inc. to assist with preparing and submitting the application; the board adopted related planning documents and authorized the Supervisor to sign application paperwork.
The Town of Moira on Aug. 12 authorized participation in the New York State CDBG program and approved Friends of the North Country, Inc., a 501(c)(3), to help prepare and submit an application to New York State Homes and Community Renewal. The board adopted the Abbreviated Consolidated Plan, the Citizen Participation Plan and the Anti-Displacement Plan and voted unanimously to authorize the Supervisor to sign related documents.
The resolution (Resolution #130-2025) passed 5–0. The town clerk will retain copies of the adopted plans at the Town Office as part of the application record. The board also reviewed and adopted a proposed sand purchasing agreement for highway use for FY2025–2026 under a separate resolution adopted by unanimous consent.
