The Town Board on May 13 authorized Supervisor Chad Niles to work with Friends of the North Country, Inc., a nonprofit with a history of planning assistance, to identify eligible projects and prepare a 2025–26 NYS Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) application.
The resolution notes that the CDBG program helps cities, towns and villages under population thresholds apply for federal funds for housing, living-environment improvements and economic opportunities principally for low- and moderate-income residents. Members adopted Resolution #102-2025 by unanimous consent and directed the Supervisor to coordinate project identification and grant preparation with the nonprofit.
