The Board of Education of Will County School District 92 voted unanimously on Dec. 16, 2025, to enter closed session to discuss personnel matters under 5 ILCS 120/2(c)(1). The motion to recess into closed session was made by Member Washington and seconded by Member Dopke and carried on an aye vote from all seven members present.
President Dusterhoft called the special meeting to order at 6:03 p.m. in the District Office Board Room in Lockport. The board entered closed session at 6:06 p.m., returned to open session at 6:59 p.m., and the public-record minutes note the closed-session purpose as "appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance, or dismissal of specific employees" pursuant to the cited Illinois statute. The meeting record lists Superintendent Kirsten Frankovich as present.
Because the discussion occurred in closed session, the board did not disclose details of personnel deliberations in the public minutes. The board later resumed open session and proceeded to adjourn the special meeting at 7:00 p.m.
