Pateros seeks RCO funds to replace tennis courts; council discusses pickleball, basketball and electrical needs

Councilmember Bruce Henne moved to approve Resolution 2024-07 to apply to the Washington State Recreation and Conservation Office for tennis-court replacement; the motion passed unanimously.
Henne asked if basketball hoops or pickleball would be allowed on replacement courts. CA Wilson said "basketball was removed due to stress on the courts and also noise complaints. There is currently one court striped for pickleball." The minutes also record a question about PUD concessions for electric service; Clerk Wilson stated none had been granted.
