Council rejects proposed cap that would add short-term rentals to rental-density limit

Public commenters raised competing concerns: Danielle Bollman said the "30-day rental limit on short-term rentals prevents traveling medical professionals from using the rentals in North Mankato," while Tom Hagen said he opposed the 10% cap and questioned the surveys used to collect data. Council Member Oachs expressed concern about the lack of an appeals process where licensing would be first-come, first-served.
