During committee reports at the July 18 meeting, Councilmember Danielle Briggs told council the Recreation Department pool will be closed Aug. 24–30 for annual maintenance and said her office has received multiple calls about e-bikes. "The Rec. Department will be shut down August 24th – 30th for annual maintenance for the pool," Briggs said.
Councilmember Kristine Weiss described a Greater Lake Erie Community Action Partnership (GLCAP) summer crisis program available July 1 through Sept. 30 to assist with utility bills, air conditioning repairs and fan purchases. Weiss said eligibility includes household members age 60 or older, documented medical conditions verified by a licensed physician, and a disconnect notice. She directed residents to the GLCAP website for details.
These announcements were delivered as routine committee reports; no council action was required at the meeting.
