A planning board alternate notified members July 8 that their term as county planning board alternate had lapsed and that they can no longer serve because of worsening cataracts, and asked the board to identify a volunteer for the position so the town board can appoint a replacement. The alternate said the role typically requires attendance once or twice a year and described the meeting schedule to prospective volunteers.
Later in the meeting a motion was made and seconded to go into executive session; members voted in favor and the board entered executive session at the end of the regular agenda. The board agreed staff should follow the appointment process for the county liaison vacancy with the town board.
