The Swartz Creek Community Schools Board of Education voted unanimously to offer the district superintendent position to Mr. Kenneth Janczarek following second-round interviews. The motion to offer the position, moved by Carrie Germain and supported by Ken Engel, passed 6–0 after a debriefing led by Sheila Alles of Ray and Associates.
The board also voted 6–0 to authorize Board President Chuck Melki and board member Jenni Wolgast to begin contract negotiations with the candidate. Two finalists gave presentations and answered board questions during the meeting: Dr. Robert Bueche and Mr. Kenneth Janczarek.
