Cabinet members presented the New Buffalo Area Schools district scorecard at the Dec. 8 meeting, reporting goals aligned to the district Strategic Plan across three pillars. Under Academics, principals emphasized maintaining or increasing student proficiency, strengthening a guaranteed viable curriculum, and using formative assessments to guide Tier 2 and Tier 3 interventions.
The Growth and Sustainability pillar included work toward a master curriculum cycle and a district-wide facilities inventory to inform long-term planning. The Culture and Community pillar highlighted implementation of an anti-bullying program, student wellness and prevention programming, staff inclusivity efforts, a Best Buddies program, family-focused food service events, and centralized communication via the Bloomz platform.
