High-school radio program reports steady enrollment, equipment upgrades and new partnerships

Jonny Reinhardt updated the board on the high-school radio/broadcast program, reporting that students recently completed a Pecha Kucha project intended to build presentation skills and peer familiarity. Reinhardt said three obsolete computers were replaced and the program is implementing a new automation system to support broadcast operations.
Reinhardt cited partnerships with the Michigan Association of Broadcasters, Midwest Family Marketing and Media, broadcast and audio engineers, and Niles-based Theory One Productions as sources of support for equipment upgrades and field-trip opportunities. He reported enrollment numbers of 21 students last trimester and approximately 16 this trimester and said he plans collaboration with other CTE broadcast programs across the county and state.
